This was quite a busy weekend, with a trip to Goodwill for Halloween costume shopping, a friend's birthday part, a visit the city rose garden, an archery tournament, and dinner with friends at the beach. Here a few pictures of how we spent our Saturday and Sunday.
Stopping to smell the roses.
Literally.
Making friends with a family of snails.
Homework and violin practice.
An archery tournament at a vineyard in Gilroy.
The setting was gorgeous.
It was fun spending the day with these girls.
Our archer.
So while Andy and I were in the wine tasting room (what? it's a vineyard!), the the girls ran in to tell us there was Chinese food for sale. As it turns out, there was a group of special needs archers shooting at the tournament and they'd brought a whole bunch of food with them. This did not stop the girls from getting bowls of soup, however. The archery community really is very collegial.
Lily and Isabella. Lily was pleased with how she shot, beating her score from last year, even though the distances were farther.
