But it wasn't scheduled to start until 3:30, which made for a very long day of waiting.
The girls kept checking the street to see if things were set up. You can imagine my pride when Lily reported, "They're just doing sound check but there are people in the moonbounce, so can we go?" Love it that she knows what a sound check is.
Amalia and her buddy from up the street--and her Pre-K class--Olivia.
Sno-cones by the moonbounce with Olivia and Baker.
It was over 90 degrees so someone came up with the brilliant idea of putting a sprinkler in the street.
Sharing is caring!
We're going to miss our neighbors. Here is Lily with Zahra.
And Amalia with Baraka.
Our neighborhood is infested with children.
Our block party rocks. There were not one, not two, but four live bands.
Plus a giant inflatable cat. Oh, and in other news, Amalia has taught herself how to burp on demand.
