Out of the mouths of the Pierce girls today:
Lily (when crossing the bridge over the Potomac): The water is so sparkly. It looks like daytime stars fell from the sky.
Amalia (when asked if she buckled her carseat): I got it!
Lily (when letting Amalia hold one of her toys): It's yours. For now, at least.
Amalia (after seeing Andy toss some weeds from the front yard): Daddy threw flowers!
And yes, the exclamation points on Amalia's statements are purposeful.
