DC to CA: Day 7--Salt Lake City

This rest stop on the way out of Cheyenne was pretty high end, complete with stuffed grizzly bears.
And pronghorns, which we learned are the second fastest land animal (after cheetahs, of course).
This same rest stop also featured a bust of Lincoln, since we were traveling along what was formerly known as Lincoln Highway (one of the first transcontinental automobile highways).
 Miss Sassypants and The Fashionista
The Sinclair dinosaur at Little America, which is sort of like the Wall Drug of the West.

What are you going to do in Salt Lake City other than walk up to Temple Square?
We thought we were pretty lucky to get inside the Tabernacle where the famed choir performs...
...until we found out that the choir was practicing in about 5 minutes, and it was open to the public.
From there, we walked to a public garden where they were having a summer outdoor concert.
Amalia and I checking out a hummingbird swooping around above our heads.

The view of the Temple from our hotel room. Oh, and I should mention that the pool in the hotel was filled with saltwater.
