Scouts on parade

Yesterday, Amalia marched in her first parade with her Daisy Girl Scout troop. The occasion was the Willow Glen Founders' Day Parade. Willow Glen is a cute neighborhood just a mile or so from where we live.

I have no idea what she's doing with her face, but clearly she's very excited.
More excitement.
 Lining up!
Here they come! Oh, and right behind the parade banner is the Ida Price Middle School Band, which Lily may be joining in a couple of years. (Not to digress, but Lily has decided to join her elementary school band this year. She's going to try out the flute. Perhaps she can soon play duets with Grandma Kathy!)
Back to the parade--here are the Girl Scouts!
 Check out the wave.
I appreciate that it's a regular human wave--not the princess kind.
I won't bore you with a ton of parade pictures, but here are a few highlights. Horses, of course.
There were a bunch of VW Bugs, which Andy enjoyed.
Also a bunch of old cars, which my parents would have enjoyed. (Maybe you guys can come up and be in the parade next year!)
And of course, the horse pooper scooper--and dad with stroller(?).
Post-parade lunch stop.
