Wedding crashers

So, on Day 2 of our middle-of-the-country-weekend-getaway meet-up, Amy and I went to a fabulously fun backyard Texas wedding (neighbors of our hosts, Toli and Christine). You'll see from the pictures below that this was no traditional affair.

The bride and groom twirling on the dance floor.

The ceremony included a round of cascarones -- a Mexican tradition of confetti-filled eggshells that are broken over people's heads. Perhaps they're for good luck or maybe just for fun. I'm not sure.

Cracking heads.

A pinata for the kids. This girl had one arm in a sling, but she didn't let that--or her pettiskirt--get in the way.
Our most gracious hosts and Austin docents.

Their dog, Stitch, yearning after some Texas BBQ.

The wedding crashers.
