The packers

 The moving trucks arrived today.

 And the crews packed up our house. It was all a bit surreal.

Still in denial, we squeezed in a last few visits with friends. Lily made the shirt Sophie is wearing. It says, "Friendship is forever." Smart girl.

 Matthew was sad to see Amalia go.

 Also squeezed in another visit with Colleen and the rest of the Maloney clan.

From there, we went to a farewell party for Amalia's friend Zeina, who is moving to Cameroon. (I forgot to take pictures, though Zeina is well-represented in this blog already.)

And, finally, an unrelated observation from Lily this evening: "Boy fireflies need girl fireflies so they can flash each other and be happy and so they can be mates."

I will try to post blogs from the road. We start driving Wednesday.
