TDY Day 8: You get my drift

Here's what the world looks like outside our house at 7:30 this morning. The weather folks are saying we got about 13" of snow overnight, with 6-9" more expected through this evening.

Lily looked out the window so that she could "see the roads" and said, "Mommy, there's a lot of snow but you're just going to have to try to drive to Claire's house today." (We are scheduled to have a play date with one of her friends from school this afternoon. No, the snow did not affect Lily's memory in the slightest.) I told Lily that if we're going to get there, we're going to have to walk. She said, "I want to walk!" We'll see.

This is the dogs' route out to the backyard.
